Marvin Leon Sperle

Marvin Leon Sperle, 83, of Cordell, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 30, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on September 6, 1941, to Otto and Lenora (Klein) Sperle, in Cordell, Oklahoma. Marvin grew up in Cordell, graduating from Cordell High School in 1959. He married Dorothy Wortham and to this union was born three children: Lori, Sherry, and Terry. Marvin married the love of his life, Carol Reimer on December 12, 1981, in Edmond, Oklahoma. They were happily married 43 years, before his passing. Marvin worked as a farmer for many years and also did brickwork for a time. He was a faithful member of the Peace Lutheran Church for all his life. Marvin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Sperle Ernst and husband, Conley, Cordell, OK; Terry Leon Sperle and wif,e Monna, Mountain View, OK; stepchildren: Brad Klaassen and wife, Phyllis, Oklahoma City, OK; and Lynn Klaassen and wife, Becky, Langley, OK. He is also survived by grandchildren: Brooke Gatlin and husband, Kyle, Cordell, OK; Zack Henderson and wife, Holly, Mountain View, OK; Landon Taylor, Mountain View, OK; Nathan Fleck and wife, Korie, Yukon, OK; Jordan Collier and husband, Kyle, Edmond, OK; Courtney Allen and husband, Blaine, Clinton, OK; Mariah Sperle, Chickasha, OK; Ashley Elafros and husband, Mike, Edmond, OK; Rachel Klaassen, Houston, OK; Carson Elwell, Denver, CO; Angela Bartel and husband, Kyle, Yukon, OK; great-grandchildren: Ella, Audrey, Kaylee, Lauren, Kentlee, Kayden, Brentley, Malia, Langston, Tegan, Olivia, Bryler, Everlee, and Jensyn Jo; and sisters: Juanita Lau, Sayre, OK,; Dorothy Hoffman and husband, Rex, Custer City, OK; and brother: Eddie Sperle and wife, Jan, Bethany, OK.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Ryan Sperle; sister, Lorena Francis, and niece, Diana Sperle Turinetti.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marvin's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or the Peace Lutheran Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Peace Lutheran Church in Bessie, OK. 
Visitation was from 3-8 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, and 1- 8 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2025, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Cordell, OK.
Interment was in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Bessie, OK.
Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Cordell, OK.
